Evan M. Turner
Founder and Managing Partner
Evan Turner is the Founder and Managing Partner of Drillcore Energy Partners. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, execution and managing active investments for the firm’s portfolio across Upstream, Midstream, and Oilfield Services and Equipment Manufacturing.
Prior to founding Drillcore Energy Partners, Mr. Turner was the Head of Energy at StormHarbour Partners in New York. In his capacity, he played an active role with senior management in the entire investment process, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, origination, analysis, structuring and execution of investments across the value chain. Prior to StormHarbour, Mr. Turner was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Group with CohnReznick Capital where he co-launched their Oil & Gas Group. Previously, Mr. Turner was an Associate at Canaccord Genuity Inc. where he focused on the Oil & Gas E&P sector. For the prior few years, Mr. Turner was a Senior Analyst with GlobalData Ltd in New York and London where he advised domestic and international Oil and Gas companies. Mr. Turner's initial foray into the oil and gas industry was as a wellsite geologist and mudlogger for Horizon logging LLC. Over the years, Mr. Turner has written extensive research and been widely quoted in financial and industry publications including Bloomberg, Oil & Gas Investor, Breaking Energy, and many more.
Mr. Turner serves on the Board of Directors of Juniors in Energy Finance ("JiEF"), is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America ("IPAA"), Houston Producers' Forum, Young Professionals in Finance ("YPF") and Young Professionals in Energy ("YPE"). Mr. Turner received a Bachelor's degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a double major in Geoscience and Environmental Studies, with further work in Economics.
